About Graticle Design
I started Graticle Design in 2009 out of Ridgefield, Washington. I had built websites and designed flyers throughout high school and college. During college, I had my first paying customer (a previous employer and friend) and realized that I could actually get paid doing what I was already doing for free.
After graduating college (California State University, Fresno – Go Dogs!), my first order of business was to email everyone I knew, from past employers to family, to friends. After a few months of this, I was now in business full-time creating websites and designing.
During the first year, I learned about the amount of “web design companies” out there. I had many customers that came to me simply to start a project over because their current “web design company” had either stopped answering their phone calls or were extremely difficult to work with (among other complaints). This brought about my second order of business: do not make the mistakes these “companies” were making, instead, take my business seriously, work hard, and provide the absolute best service and value to my customers.
And it worked.
The next thing I knew, I had more customers. The best part: my customer’s businesses were growing, they were going out of their way to compliment my work and communication and they were also referring my services to others.
That brings us to today.
Like all businesses that do well, there just aren’t enough hours in the day to do it all yourself. Graticle is now incorporated and I have many people who help me provide the same excellent services I’ve been providing since 2009. Actually, we’ve improved tremendously in service, since those I’ve hired have more experience. Our systems and processes have also improved tremendously which has also allowed us to deliver much faster than before.
Graticle is currently working on extremely fun and exciting projects and I love what I do more than ever. I’ve learned a lot and have absolutely amazing customers.
I’m presently living in the beautiful northwest (Longview, Washington) with my wonderful wife, my son, and our two cats.
