About Graticle Design
I started Graticle Design in 2009 out of beautiful Ridgefield, Washington. I had just graduated from California State University, Fresno and had a goal of starting a business so I could work for myself. I had built websites and designed flyers throughout high school and college. During college I had my first paying client (a previous employer and friend) and realized that I could actually get paid for this passion of mine.
After graduating college, my first order of business was to email everyone I knew, from past employers, to family, to friends. After a few months of this, I was now in business full-time creating websites and designing.
During the first year, I learned about the amount of “web design companies” in existence. I had many clients that came to me simply to start a project over because their current “web design company” had either stopped answering their phone calls, or were extremely difficult to work with (among other complaints). This brought about my second order of business: do not make the mistakes these “companies” were making, instead, take my business seriously, work my tail off, and provide the absolute best service to my clients.
And it worked.
The next thing I knew, I had more clients. The best part: my clients businesses were growing, they were going out of their way to compliment my work and communication and they were also referring my services to others that were in need.
That brings us to today.
I’m currently working on extremely fun and exciting projects and still love what I do today. I’ve learned a lot and have some of the best clients. I’ve met a lot of people in the web industry and have a handful of friends now that help me with various projects in areas where they shine while I choose to design.
I’m currently living in the beautiful northwest (Longview, Washington) with my wonderful wife, my son, and our two cats.
