Here at Graticle, we don’t just create brand-new websites. We also work on existing websites.
Maybe you have a website that looks great, but every time you need to make a minor text change or swap out an image you must call your web designer and pay for it. This is a pretty common situation 10 or 20 years ago, but a lot has changed in that amount of time and it’s no longer acceptable.
Since then, there have been content management systems (CMS) like WordPress that have been released. A CMS makes it easy for a less technically inclined person to make changes to their website. It makes it easy to change titles, paragraph text, creating pages/posts, and even changing photos.
Or, maybe you already have a website that needs to be tuned up regarding design or development. We see a lot of websites that look great but don’t convert visitors into customers. We can offer a variety of ways to improve your website to help bring in business. Goals and calls to action are something we focus on quite a lot.
Sometimes we see websites that check all the boxes at first glance. The customer comes to us asking why the website isn’t working even though from their vantage it looks great. We will run their website through our free 35-point checklist and often find what’s really going on behind the scenes. We’ve seen it time and time again. The customer has a beautiful website, but it takes five minutes to load on a mobile phone. There are ways to optimize the website while still maintaining its beauty and functionality.
In some cases, you may have a website that checked all the boxes 10 years ago, but again, a lot has changed since then. We can maintain the consistency of your brand online, while also bringing your website into 2020 standards.
Let’s face it, there is a very low barrier to entry into the website industry. Anyone with an Internet connection and a laptop is a “web designer.” These characters put a bad reputation on the industry. On the flip side, they also help keep us in business as will be picking up the pieces later.
We often pick up the pieces to a lot of incomplete website projects. Maybe you started a website project with another “web design company”, and they disappeared off the face of the planet after they received your deposit. Or maybe they were difficult to work with and their work was subpar. We enjoy these types of situations because often the customer has already given a lot of thought to the project, and we get to be the hero and save the day.
If you already have a website on WordPress, but it’s difficult to manage, we can also help you. There are a lot of amateur web designers out there that will use WordPress when creating a new website. The issue that we’ve seen time and time again, is that they put your website on WordPress but then still have code where there should be none. So now you have your website on a content management system that you know nothing about and that is just as difficult to edit as if you knew how to program a website to begin with.
Let me recap: we don’t just create brand-new websites we work on existing websites as well.
If you do have an existing website, give us a call (360) 450-3711, so we can talk about your situation and potential options. Looking forward to hearing from you.
