Graticle Design delved into the playful yet profound theme of life’s shortcuts with the ‘Life Cheats’ graphic for Valley Christian Fellowship in Longview, Washington. The graphic cleverly juxtaposes the ubiquitous image of a video game controller with the concept of navigating life’s complexities, suggesting that, much like in gaming, there are moments we wish for a cheat code to advance or ease our journey. The stark, bold lettering against the textured background creates a visual that is both striking and contemplative, resonating with an audience familiar with the gaming culture while also appealing to a broader demographic reflecting on life’s challenges and triumphs. This graphic not only served as an engaging visual for the fellowship’s discussions but also as a metaphorical nod to the idea that sometimes, life requires strategy, wisdom, and perhaps a few ‘cheats’ to enhance the human experience.
