Rainier 2 Longview 10k Bridge Run 2024 Logo Design
Graticle Design was once again privileged to design the logo for the Rainier to Longview 10k Bridge Run in 2024, following our work on the inaugural event’s logo in 2023. The event, now in its second year, offers participants an unparalleled running experience, combining the mesmerizing beauty of the Pacific Northwest with a journey across the historic Lewis & Clark Bridge.
The 2024 logo encapsulates both the scenic beauty and industrial spirit of the region. Featuring a silhouette of the Lewis & Clark Bridge against a rising sun, the design visually represents the bridge’s historic and architectural significance, complemented by a color palette evoking the vibrancy of the Northwest sunrise. The bridge, which spans the Columbia River, provides runners with a unique perspective of the river below and the surrounding landscapes. The “2024” stamp firmly establishes the event’s chronology, reminding participants and spectators alike of the event’s growing legacy.
The Rainier to Longview 10k Bridge Run serves as more than just a race; it’s a celebration of the Pacific Northwest’s rich history and industrial prowess. Starting in Rainier City Park, OR, runners traverse the bridge, finishing their journey at Martin’s Dock in Lake Sacajawea Park, Longview, WA. Along the way, they experience breathtaking views from the bridge, which stands as a testament to the region’s industrial past and its enduring connection to the Lewis and Clark Expedition.
Constructed in 1929, the Lewis & Clark Bridge was once the longest and highest cantilever truss span in the U.S. Its significance to the region is palpable, and its inclusion in the 10k run offers participants a tangible link to the past.
Graticle Design is honored to have played a role in shaping the visual identity of this event for two consecutive years. Our design approach has always been rooted in understanding the essence of the event and capturing its spirit in a way that resonates with participants and spectators alike. We’re thrilled to see the Rainier to Longview 10k Bridge Run grow and evolve, and we look forward to contributing to its story in the years to come.
