We were honored to design and develop the website for The Gardner School of Arts & Sciences, a prestigious independent learning environment located in Vancouver, Washington. Serving students from preschool through 6th grade, The Gardner School emphasizes a whole-child philosophy, inspired by the theory of multiple intelligences identified by Howard Gardner. The school offers a comprehensive curriculum that integrates core subjects with specialist areas like science, music, art, Spanish, and physical education.
The website we built, hosted on WordPress, reflects the school’s progressive and student-centered approach. We customized the back-end, allowing the school’s staff to manage the website autonomously. This flexibility lets them regularly update content, keeping it fresh and relevant for parents and prospective students. Furthermore, we provided training videos to ensure that their team could seamlessly manage the website, enhancing their self-sufficiency.
Our design also ensured that the website is fully responsive, guaranteeing a flawless viewing experience on any device. This approach aligns with Gardner’s belief in engaging with all facets of the environment to stimulate learning.
The Gardner School’s beautiful campus, small class sizes, and affiliation with significant educational bodies like the Washington Federation of Independent Schools (WFIS) and the Northwest Association of Independent Schools (NWAIS) contribute to its distinctive identity. Our collaboration with them helped create a digital platform that accurately conveys their dedication to nurturing avid learners and engaged global citizens.
