Graticle Design embraced the narrative of triumph and tradition in the “Last Day, First Turkey” feature for Horns & Hooks’ Summer 2015 issue. This poignant article captures the raw emotion and excitement of a hunter’s first successful turkey hunt, culminating on the very last day of the season. Our team at Graticle Design infused the layout with the earthy tones of the wilderness and the vibrant energy of the hunt. The images are selected and placed to evoke the early morning mists and the soft rustle of the underbrush, drawing the reader deeper into the story with each turn of the page. Strong, bold typefaces echo the steadfast determination of the hunters, and the layout of the text mirrors the careful steps through dense terrain. Every element of our design was chosen to enhance the narrative, creating an immersive experience that resonates with the reader’s own sense of adventure and nostalgia for the outdoors.
