The Brief
When the heat goes out, people pick up their phone and call whoever looks reliable and can come soon. The website needed to make booking easy, make emergencies even easier and answer the money questions before anyone calls.
Book without a phone call
Let people ask for an appointment any time of day, and choose the kind of visit and when they want it.
Never make an emergency fill in a form
A broken furnace in January goes straight to a phone number, not a form.
Answer the money questions
Financing, warranties, rebates and whether to repair or replace, all explained in plain language.
What We Built
A fast, custom-coded website that works like a front desk.
Appointment form in the first screen
Repair, maintenance, new system or emergency; as soon as possible, this week or a specific day; morning or afternoon. Then a name and number, and Mallard calls to confirm.
A call-only emergency path
Choosing an emergency skips the form and puts the phone number in front of the visitor.
Call and Schedule always in reach
On phones, Call and Schedule buttons stay at the bottom of the screen while people scroll.
One page per service
Repair, maintenance, new systems, heat pumps, ductless, furnaces, air conditioning, thermostats, ventilation and commercial.
Financing, warranties and rebates
Their own pages, plus a repair-or-replace guide and a short "how a visit goes" so people know what to expect.
Projects, reviews and areas served
A projects page, Google reviews and the towns covered, from Vancouver and Camas to Longview and Castle Rock.
What We Do Now
We built the site and we look after it, so Mallard can stay on service calls.
Hosting, security and backups
The domain, hosting and security are handled, and the site is backed up so nothing is lost.
Monitoring
We monitor the site to make sure it stays online and the appointment form keeps working.
Updates on request
New projects, rebates and seasonal offers: they send it over and we put it live.
Help when you need it
Questions and changes go to a real person, with a reply within one business day.
Questions About This Project
Is this a custom-coded website?
Yes. It is built for the business rather than from a template or page builder, so it loads quickly on a phone and is easy to adjust.
Why an appointment form instead of just a phone number?
Many people look for a heating and cooling company in the evening, after work. A short form lets them ask for a visit right then, and Mallard calls back to confirm. Emergencies still go straight to the phone.
Do they own their website?
Yes. As with every client, Mallard Mechanical owns the website, the domain and the content. There is no long-term contract.
Could you do this for my business?
That is what we do: a website built around how your customers look for you, then hosting and management. Start with a free audit and we will tell you where your site stands, or see our websites for contractors and trades.
