Ridgefield Refuge Web Design
Creating a website for the Friends of the Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge was an inspiring project for us, given the importance of the Refuge in preserving the natural beauty of Ridgefield, Washington. The website’s design had to reflect the serene and captivating environment of the Refuge, and offer visitors an immersive experience that would encourage them to explore the refuge itself.
Built on WordPress, the site was tailored to meet the specific needs of the Refuge’s staff. We not only customized the back-end to make it user-friendly but also provided training videos. These videos were designed to help the staff manage the website effectively, enabling them to update content, add new sections, and ensure the site remained vibrant and informative. This empowerment allows the Refuge to have a dynamic online presence that can adapt and grow over time.
In an increasingly mobile world, responsiveness was a critical feature for the website. Ensuring that the site could be viewed on any screen size and device was not just about accessibility; it was about offering a seamless experience that resonated with the Refuge’s commitment to accessibility and inclusion. Now, whether visitors are planning their trip from a desktop or exploring the Refuge’s offerings from a phone on the go, the website provides a consistent and engaging experience, reflecting the welcoming nature of the Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge itself.
