Tequila Fuego: a restaurant website built for hungry people on phones.
An upscale Mexican restaurant needed a site that answers the real questions fast: what is on the menu, when is happy hour, can you seat my group, and how do I order. We designed it, built it, launched it in January 2026 and still manage it today.
The Results Since Launch
Real results from Google Analytics and Google Search Console, January 1 to October 12, 2026.
- 69%of visits came from Google and other search engines
- 84%of Google clicks came from phones
- 59%of visits were engaged
- Top 3on Google for “restaurants near me”
- Top 5on Google for “mexican food near me”
These results cover the whole period since launch, not a single good week.
The Brief
Tequila Fuego is an upscale Mexican restaurant on Ocean Beach Highway in Longview with a full bar, a busy lunch and dinner crowd, takeout, and room for groups of up to 85. They needed a website that matched the quality of the room and did real work for the business.
Look like the restaurant
Warm, confident and polished, so the website feels like the dining room does, not like a generic restaurant template.
Answer questions fast
Most visitors want one thing: the menu, the hours, happy hour or a phone number. Each should be one tap away.
Win local searches
Be the obvious result when someone in Longview, Kelso or on I-5 searches for Mexican food, takeout or a place for a group.
Built Phone First
Eighty-four percent of the clicks Tequila Fuego earns from Google come from phones, so the phone version is the main design, not an afterthought.
The home page opens with big, thumb-sized buttons: Menu, Takeout, Order Online, DoorDash, Happy Hour and Directions. A bar with the phone number, Order Online and DoorDash stays with visitors as they scroll.
Text is large enough to read in a parking lot, and the phone number dials the restaurant directly.
Let the Food Do the Selling
People choose a restaurant with their eyes first, so the site leads with real photography of the plates: sizzling fajitas, fresh seafood, steaks and the full bar.
The complete menu has its own page as readable text, with a download for anyone who wants it. Because the menu is on the page, Google can read it and show it in search results.
The menu is also marked up with structured data, so search engines and AI assistants understand what the restaurant serves.
What We Built
Every page has a job, and none of it is filler.
An interactive menu
Jump straight to Appetizers, Fajitas, Mariscos, Burritos, Steaks, Vegetarian, Drinks and more with one tap, instead of scrolling a long page or opening a PDF. Order Online and DoorDash buttons sit at the top.
Takeout and delivery
A dedicated takeout page with three ways to order: call the restaurant, order online or use DoorDash.
Happy hour
Its own page for daily happy hour, with the times and details guests ask about most.
Group dining
A page for parties, celebrations and company dinners, covering seating for up to 85 and how to book.
Gift cards
Online gift card sales linked right from the site, so a gift is a few taps away.
Reviews and photos
Real guest reviews from Google, Facebook and Yelp, plus a gallery of the dining room and the bar, so first-time visitors know what to expect.

Built to Be Found
Most of a restaurant’s new customers start with a search. The site was built for that from the first line of code.
- Structured data. Restaurant, menu, hours, location, ordering and FAQ information that search engines and AI tools can read directly.
- Local landing pages. Pages for travelers at I-5 Exit 36 and for Kelso, written for the searches those visitors make.
- One page per search intent. Menu, happy hour, takeout and groups each get their own page and title, instead of everything sharing one.
- Plain-language answers. Questions guests really ask, answered in a sentence, with the details Google likes to quote.
- Tracking from day one. Google Analytics and Search Console installed at launch, which is how the numbers on this page exist.
- A sitemap and an llms.txt file. So search engines and AI assistants can find every page and its key facts.
Answers Before They Ask
Someone planning a birthday dinner, a traveler exiting I-5 and a regular looking for happy hour all want something different. A Quick Answers section covers the questions the restaurant hears most, and a gallery shows the room, so first-time guests know what to expect.
Visitors came from Longview and Kelso, and also from Seattle and Portland along I-5.
What We Do for Them Every Month
We built the site and we look after it, so their time goes to the restaurant. Much of it happens before they have to ask.
Search engine optimization
We do SEO for Tequila Fuego as an ongoing service: improving pages, adding local landing pages, tuning titles and structured data, and watching which searches bring guests in.
Google Business Profile
We set up and optimized their Google Business Profile, and keep its details matched to the website so Google sees the same hours, address and links everywhere.
Proactive monitoring
Monitoring alerts us if something goes wrong, so problems get handled before guests notice. Hosting, security and backups are handled for them.
Updates on request
New hours, seasonal specials or a changed menu: they send it over and we put it live.
Reporting and guidance
We watch traffic and search results in Google Analytics and Search Console, and tell them what is working and what to do next.
Improvements we suggest
We bring ideas without being asked, such as new pages for searches people make, better ways to order, and fixes when we spot a problem.
